The Maxwell was built as a co-operative apartment building in 1909, and converted to a condominium in 2003.  The condominium consists of 18 apartments and 16 parking spaces, one of them tandem. There are 16 garage spaces (including the tandem space) and three are exterior: concrete pads which may be used either as patios or parking pads. There are additional spaces for motorcycles and bicycles (car and motorcycle parking spaces and patios are sold seperately).

There are a total of 18 condominium apartments:

  • 16 two bedroom and 2 three bedroom units, ranging in size from 872 to 1307 square feet. Eight units have balconies, two have terraces, and two have porches. In addition, there are three ground level patios.
  • Interior features and finishes will include: island kitchens with Blue Pearl granite countertops, stainless steel sinks and all appliances; maple cabinets, washers and driers in all units; and Jacuzzi ® tubs in all units. The floors will be original parquet in the front units and oak strips in the back units, with carpet in some of the bedrooms.  The bathrooms will be finished in ceramic tile.
  • Purchasers can add home theater and/or surround sound to their individual units for an additional charge. Units can be delivered with wall mounted flat panel TV screens installed. Charges for these upgrades can be rolled into contract purchase price. See sales associates for details.
